a friend and a trade!

my friend Isabel stopped over a couple days ago. she lives down the block and i still have the Christmas stocking she made that mom had gotten from her for me when i was little. she loves my lemon pearberry soap and uses it in her kitchen. i love and use knitted wash cloths so was happy to make a trade!

Isabel has knitted for years and has sold many of her wares.. she also has spun wool among other things. i have been saving the cats hair and have a big bag full to hopefully be spun someday. years ago i did a basket class for her fiber arts group and they each went home with a finished basket.

a wonderful treasure! it must be vintage by now....

i am finely on my way decorating, hopefully i will get it done today
soo i can get busy with my gift making...

enjoy your day and thanx for stopping by!                         jody

  2. I'm impressed that you still have that Christmas stocking after all those years, (of course I don't mean to say that you're old) lol. just that you have taken great care of your gift.

It's so nice having a good friend to swap with and everyone is a winner. Have fun decorating and gift making.

  3. Hi Jody...How wonderful to still have the stocking that she made. Also how sweet to do a nice trade like that. My great aunt used to knit dish clothes...they are the best.
    Have a great weekend!

  7. You will be busy today! I'd like to finish the decorating here today, too, but it is definitely going very slowly. Might not get it done today after all.

    Enjoy your day!
