buttons and a birthday!

last night i had angela and grandbabe #1 over for sweet and sour chicken and rice, a recipe i have been making forever and sister jana makes it too now. g-babe yelled from the den...g-ma can i play with your buttons? i came running with a pan..of course you can! i also decided i needed to figure out how to write on pictures....



look at this one mom..


he found a few treasures to take home and
i told him next time he could start on some more jars of buttons!
who doesnt like to play with buttons?

  3. We all love to play with buttons. They have more use than only keep out cloths buttoned,They are fascinating.

    Years ago I gave a jar of buttons to my daughter and she carefully sewed some on a small pillow she made for her little baby girl and she just loved it.

  4. I have so many buttons they won't all fit into a single jar. So I have separated them by color and have each color stored in a separate jar. When my two year old grandson comes over to my house, he often requests a certain color and we get out a wooden tray for him to pour them into - such fun - just like you're having!

  7. Hi Jody, are you staying warm? It is getting better so that is a good thing. When I was a kid my G-ma had a tin of buttons and I always played with them...wonder where they ended up? Anyway I love buttons to this day! Thanks for sharing and Happy B-day to your sister!
