yesterday...

The sun was shining and it was a good day!
Grandbabe #1 spent the day with me and 1st on the list of things to do was visit with mom and dad..

mom has been working on wedding gifts (pillow cases) for the kids in August... and
has finished them! she is a perfectionist...and they are beautiful!

i have had a project i have been wanting to try up on the balcony so grandbabe helped me....

i for some reason wanted to try curtains up there...just for a bit more privacy, love them and would probley like a muslin or onsenburg better but
had these on hand...

This guy was busy trying to catch birds.....

i have been so hungry for spaghetti so had to talk this one into it as...
he likes to have homemade cream of broccoli cheese soup at g-mas house...
(next time we need to finish painting up there....this green is the primer.)

and after such a busy morning it was time to play!

Enjoy your July 3rd my blog friends!                       jody

  2. Here we go again! Just want to say your curtains are great and that
I know the grandchildren will love the pillowcases. I am 66 years old
and I have some that my grandmother made for me when I was a
newlywed. I use them as shams for my quilts and am happy with
memories of her every time I use them. Julia (the last comment didn't
    go through)

  4. Oh my, I love those embroidered pillow cases. I used to embroider when I was a young girl. Sweet memories of my youth.

  6. The balcony is wonderful. Curtains are a great idea but I agree muslin would be better. I'm not a lacey kind of girl.
What beautiful pillowcases to be treasured always.
    Happy 4th to you :)

    Lauren
