Luke and Heidi

Sister Janas son Luke and Wife Heidi were home for a visit. They are expecting a little bundle of joy in October. They aren't going to find out if its a boy or girl so she made 2 quilts, one for a boy and one for a girl. Thought I would share pictures of them... She had them machine quilted by local gal and had just picked them up.

Grandbabe #1 and his daddy are were putting up a pool....

ohhh i bet that waters cold!

Grandbabe #2 was in a cowboy thing at the county fair...

and Grandbabe #3 is about ready to roll over! and chewing on her hands!

oh and Cindy girlfriend and I came home with another truck load... inside and out!

Carol P brought a yummy apple/snicker and whip cream salad and auntie Pat brought cookies! auntie Mary brought wine and her famous fresh salsa! as always lots of food....

show and tell!
Auntie Mary was working on pillows
with the zipcodes of the lakes..

Joyce was working on another quilt with her nurseing scrubs..

Carol p brought her English piecing quilt she finished!

Carol F brought some finished wool mats and was working on the yellow
one
while we visited...

Carol had also been on a trip to Italy with her daughter
and had a photo book made of the trip

also brought us each a thimble to add to our cobbler thimble collection..

mom has been working on a gift so i was asking
the cobbler opinion as to where i should sew the lace on

The Garden Store...

I decided the other day it was time to get my wash stands and such planted..
this is the latest i think for me! the plants were even 1/2 price and sense
Dawn is a friend and bought the store from my parents 8 years ago...
we " over the fenced " seedlings and a few others plants that were
past selling! i will be heading back today as i still have a bit to do...
Kennedy, Dawns daughter and also sister Janas son AJs girlfriend was working..
this is the sign from when mom/dad had the store, Dawn is still using the name.
Many years ago my grandmother (dads mom) had a yarn shop in the store
and taught many how to knit and had lots of yarn for sale along with patterns etc.
over the years the yarn shop has been changed to yard shop..

a few extra helpers around too!

Wow what a Collection!

Cindy girlfriend and I were out and about and came across this sale.. it was a lil older gentleman and his 2 daughters selling his late wife's collection of dolls and i guess this was only about 1/2 of it! soo fun to see this!
i had fun seeing this and actually enjoyed all the boxes of stuff under the tables more!

Latest picture of grandbabe #3, i think i need a quick trip to go snuggle!
looks like G-Ma Liz made her another hat!

many of asked how Emma Girl is, she is doing much better
her blood sugar was running way to high at 455 for 3 visits
even after increasing insulin.(and lost 5 lbs in this time) the vet sent home some DW
(diabetic food) and that did the trick! last blood sugar was 105
she likes the food and is spunkier than i have seen her in years!

Also thank you for all your comments on my last post.. i so appreciate all the support!
today's another day and we keep moving forward with lots of good memories.

enjoy your day my blog friends!                      jody
