January Cobblers Night..

Sister Jana called me yesterday and said "whats for supper?" i told her i hadn't really thought about it and she said.. its quilt night! i had forgotten all about it!! GEEZ
She had a quilt she needed to tie as did Auntie Pat so we decided she would host and we would order pizza.

 we checked out Sisters sewing room.... love it!

 Carol P had gotten this cool clock for Jana..

 Then it was time to Tie!
Auntie Pats was first!
for her grandson who loves bacon (sashing fabric)

 Jana had made this for Carol and her Husband Chuck
who are having a ceremony this weekend to renew there wedding vows..(34yrs)
she had left before we tied this.
jana is having it embroidered with their original wedding date and
the renew ceremony date.

then it was time to celebrate sisters Jan 2 birthday!

I had gotten a gift in the mail yesterday from my friend Mary..

 a beautiful pattern/kit and book! OMG i love it!
the fabrics are absolutely gorgeous and right up my ally!
Mary has always been a very generous giver..
thank you so much Mary!! she also decorates her gifts just beautifully..

auntie Mary & Doodles are in California for a couple months..

we miss you!!

busy weekend..

a friend and I went to our first sale of the year, one i have gone to for many years...
we got there right when the doors opened at 7am.
i have stood in a freezing below 0 line many times.. this year it was above 0.

a few of my treasures...

my family has used these spoons for soup ever since living in japan..

then we found an antique flea market!

 i found another rug beater.. it was only 3.00!

then we stopped in this fun market!
son Jason ended up with the bull dog sauce i bought, and daughter Angie wants some of the fish
so guess we will be going back!

next it was time to watch our favorite hockey player!

we made it to 3 of his games this weekend.

Lastly a Birthday party for grandbabe Brody! 9 years old now!!

a bit of this and that..

i stopped by mom and dads today on my morning walk...
mom had just finished her double wedding ring pillow cases, shes made all her grandchildren a set for when they get married...

this is the back...shes so fussy!

working on today..

the other day she was giving sister Jana, Heidi and i lessons.

Jana, Heidi and i took a class on "Peek-a-boo" bags.

they were harder then i thought!

and by the 3rd i was happy enough to be done with them for now! 

i made the middle in class and the other 2 at home. bound and determined to be happy with it! must get my fussiness from mom!

Carol came to chat and brought Jana (Jan 2) a b-day cake with a candle that Jana had got her
that opens, twirls and chimes..

also started this year long project.. anyone else working on this?

at night i have been working on my rug hooking "forever" project and can see the 

end! so enjoying it that i have another pattern ready to go on the frame!! 

i have had to adjust here and there as ran out of wool for certain areas..

 
wool for the moon.

finished the crow last night and am working on the cat tonight. so heading to the wool stash!!
