I had a Main Water leak...

in July i was mowing my grass and all of a sudden sunk up to my ankles! knew right away what it was! shoot a main water leak in my front yard! not the boulevard where it would be paid for by the city... anyway got a guy who i kinda knew that fixes them to stop over and he gave me a list of things to do. get sewer traced and marked which cost me 235.00, have water company come trace out the pipes.. and have everything else marked. this is an old house so who knew what they would all find. anyway it worked where he could go from the boulevard (AND NOT DIG UP MY WHOLE FRONT YARD!) and pull in a new copper pipe and reroute it in the basement,
 so Jaydens dad came and busted a hole in the basement to find the pipe way down there!

so i had to get the water dept to come and the pipe was a bit lower.. so they dug down further and found it. i would say about 3 feet down.

then Dan came.. now this is the middle of October. i had been getting my water thru a hose from the neighbors.. which im thankful for their patients. but not without a few glitches....

  whoo hoo it worked!

 the city then came a day later and poured a new sidewalk!

 then my son Jeff the Plumber came to reroute the plumbing..

Cobblers at Carols...

we gathered at Carols home at the lake last night! as always there was lots of food, bonding and catch up! Auntie Pat and i got there just as the sun was going down. we stopped by her cabin so she could check things out so i took pictures of the sunset!

 so lots of good things to sample before our meal!...
(we miss you Joyce! see you next month for sure!)

We met while stationed in Japan, i think at a quilt class...many years ago now.

 Carol had lots of quilt books/patterns for us to look thru! and take!

 keeping a watchful eye on us! and trying to give us some hoops too!

 she brought us each back a little something from her California trip!

 Carol made Brownies! yum i had mine with today's coffee!

 time to go home...

Dads hanging in there, some days are better than others. he just had a surgery on Tuesday to put in a Dialysis Fistula for long time dialysis treatments. (less chance of infection) He did well! it will take 2-3 months of healing before they will be using this instead of his Port (Central Venous Catheter)
