show/tell, thrift finds and a bladder infection

gizzy has a bladder infection... im sooo thankful thats all it is and nothing worse!! so im on my way to pick him up at the vet! cant wait. sure missed him last night, had only sadie on my lap, i think she missed him too!
i was reading gayles blog http://themiddlesister.blogspot.com/ the other day and it reminded me of some little quilts i had made years ago and a cathedral window i had started as a wall hanging and kept going...well at the time..i havent really worked on it much for starting it 20 years ago! maybe i will keep it out in eye site. its funny how the fabrics kind of date things..
All of a sudden im having problems trying to put pictures on my blog so am now on my phone.
Gheez...and i dont know why the pictures are so blurry when posted from my phone?
I guess i was into hearts back then.. More of a star person now.

 

And here are a couple thrift shop finds...i love vintage christmas and will keep these! Santa salt shaker .50, santa magnet 1.00

I think angie wants the plate holder 6.99, ill probably keep the 1.00 basket...

birthday and a baby

Grandbabe #1 had a birthday party at Happy Joe's pizza and if was full of fun and unexpected visitors of family and friends!

happy birthday grandbabe #1 !!!

yep! 7 years old today! whoo hoo! boy those 7 years have gone fast and he has grown from a beautiful baby boy to a busy little toddler and now to a school boy/hockey player! grandma jody loves you to pieces and to the moon and back!

thrift shop find...

yesterday i had to go to the base for a few things so stopped at the thrift shop on base that is only open every tuesday from 10-2. i spent 14. and found some treasures.
i found this little book holder cabnet that i think i will paint black or red and distress some. also the blue heart thing will be painted diff too. i picked up some books, thank you cards, stationary, christmas lights, stocking stuffers for the grand babes, cute little scissor ect. case and cute chrismas bag and tissue wrap. oh and i got this little chopstick holder. they had a few more of him and i should have just picked them up,  i have a chop stick collection in a jar...oh let me go take a picture of it.. there are some things missing so for 14.00 i had fun!!

Cobblers deer/quilt retreat...

Saturday was our 12th annual deer quilters retreat hosted by carol f out at her home on the lake ( next door to auntie mary ) like always lots of chatting, eating and stitching!
Auntie marys and auntie pats guys were hunting out there... janas, joyces and carol ps guys were also hunting else ware..so us girls get together and bond! We always miss cousin Beth, she always would finish a guilt top and more...she will be home at christmas for the cobbler christmas tho!

trick or treaters and the cobblers!

well last night was a busy, fun night. the cobblers were here...sister jana and carol p came with masks and auntie mary was her usual ball of energy with a costume and all. we had about 50 costume clad treaters and some stayed a bit to visit!

and it looks like my grandbabe #2 was having tooo much fun!!
