That reminds me of the crochet disasters I have had--we call having to rip it out "frogging it"--rip it, rip it. I think you are a chemist in disguise--you'd have to be to get that soap mixture exactly right. Carry on!
ReplyDeleteHi Jody...well the soap doesn't look bad to me as I do not know good from bad homemade soap...although if it is the darker one it looks rather Primitive.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty treasures you found while thrifting...and a very pretty pitcher.
Karen
Hi Jody, sorry about the batch of soap not turning out this time but it's lucky that you can melt it and adjust it. That's the part that scares me away from trying it. For now I'll content myself with buying it from those who know what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteBetter luck next time.
What a nice little white pitcher that you found there.
Hugs,
JB.
oh..so sorry for the soap fail! at least you can remedy it though. hope everyone likes the sandwiches!
ReplyDeleteOh Brother, that's terrible about the soap fail.....Love your goodies, wonderful Ironstone.....Yummy supper with family, have a great time, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't tried making soap yet. Great buy on the ironstone piece!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had a soap failure, but good thing it can be salvaged. looks like a good trip to the thrift shop. I love the ironware pitcher, so adorable, & I can't believe the price.
ReplyDeleteYour dinner menu sounds delicious and it's always great when a guest can bring something so you don't have to make everything yourself. Have a great dinner.
Sorry the soap fairy visited :(
ReplyDeleteLove the little ironstone pitcher.
Have fun with the cobblers and take lots of pics to share.
Hugs :)

Sorry about the soap. It sounds like the gremlins were about rather than the good fairies. Sounds like a great menu, and those finds at the thrift store are good ones!

Hi Jody,
ReplyDeleteNow I never knew there were soap fairies lurking about! LOL! I hope the "good" soap fairy is helping with your next batch!! I have to admire your abilities to make soap... it looks like fun and a bit of a challenge at times!
LOVE that ironstone pitcher... what a buy!! I can see it with tulips and cut flowers!
Are you getting this next big storm passing through? They are predicting 10 inches of snow here!! Must be the bad weather fairies lurking around too! LOL!!
Oh well... I'm staying home and hookin' rugs!!
Hugs!!

Sorry you had a flop...my flops come more often than I would like, lol I just have to tell you how much I love my soap. I used your suggestion and put it by the kitchen sink. It is sooooo soft on my hands! I need to place an order. Can you please send me your price list? I also left you a note on Facebook, I need your home phone, I can't find it!! Hope your day is grand! Pamie G.
ReplyDeletePS: I love the recipe you sent me....I can hardly wait to try it! Thank you for your kindness and thinking of me! :)
